Ww1 British War Medal and mercantile Marine medal both named to Thomas blackey .
Thomas was born 1871 at Liverpool.
1891 a steam engine fitter living at 105 crown Street, West Derby, Liverpool, his father Thomas was a customs officer.
1911 63 sheil Road, Liverpool an engineer fitter / Marine engineer .
1915 he was 1st engineer on ss dotterell and this ship was sunk by a mine laid from the German submarine uc5 4.75 miles from boulogne pier with 5 lives lost ( Thomas obviously survived ).
His mercantile marine medal states he lived at 9 ..her road ,Kensington, Liverpool.
He died 14th June 1944 living at 17 dunescourt Rd, West Derby, Liverpool.
