Enlisted 16th August 1915 .

He also served as 2171 , 388 , 458376 & wr150287 in Royal engineers latterly as an engine driver with railways for Hampshire Fortress Coy after being sent home with injury to right finger via hospital ship grantully Castle.

He was still living at Portsmouth in 1939 a printers machine minder , he passed away there in 1960 .
