Born To Thomas and Francis in 1888, we find Thomas living in 1911 at Ellistree Cottages in Bishops Itchington, Leamington , where he is seen to be a labourer.

He enlisted in December 1915 into the 3Bn Gloucestershire Regiment and went overseas with the 2/6th Bn in January 1917.

We see he is transferred to the 181 Tunnelling Company in September 1917.

He serves in France until February 1919.

He transferred to the Labour Corps in 1918 and has a new service number 574042.

He is entitled to a Pair.

The medal has a modern replacement ribbon.
