George was born 22nd January 1900 at Woolwich his father serving with Royal Artillery.
He joined the Royal Navy as a boy sailor in September 1916 and served until 1929.
He later joined rafvr was the rank of pilot officer in ww2 and went on to command 1934 squadron Air training corp .
He died In Plymouth December 1969.
