Alfred was born 26th November 1893 at Leeds.
A timber labourer by occupation he joined army reserve 24th November 1915 , Royal Naval volunteer Reserve Royal naval division)16th July 1917 .
He served with the Drake battalion royal naval division in France and died of wounds ( shot wounds left buttock ). 10th October 1918 and us commemorated at dessaux Farm British cemetery, beugny.
His widow remarried and addresses given as 26 mercy St & 26 Wells St, off Lisbon Rd, Leeds.
